![]() If using the second method, one thing to watch for is over-trimming and accidentally shaving off too much. Instead of trimming the fabric strips into (near) exact sizes, you would simply add a new strip to the block and trim away the excess. This would be the most practical way to attach longer strips. ![]() If you’re using something like a jelly roll of fabric, you would want to use the second method which I call the add-and-trim method. ![]() Once attached, trim away the excess after adding each strip to the block. For the sake of this tutorial, I’m showing you exact measurements, but I recommend adding a little extra length to your strips when cutting them. There are a couple of strip cutting methods for a Log Cabin Quilt Block. I’m also using five 10″ squares and piecing my strips because it’s a great way to use up fabric and it will never really show in a quilt.

Check out the steps below to ensure a good follow-through. Not only that, a consistent finish after every shot helps to make consistent shots. Eventually, you can strike a better shot with this feel next time. This stage lets you know if anything was off with the shot, pretty much like a diagnostic tool. The finishing should give you confidence whether you are hitting with golf wedges, irons, or drivers. Though it is true, that doesn’t mean it is less critical. Because it won’t change anything about the shot you have already made. The follow-through or finish stage may seem unnecessary after striking the ball at the impact stage. Follow-through: to finish the sequence properly But move the golf irons downward and the drivers in an upward motion while making the strike.ĥ. For golf drivers and iron shots, approach the ball slightly from inside with your club. Step 7: Target to hit the bottom of the ball. Step 6: Move the golf club as fast as you can. Step 5: Keep your hips and shoulders in an open position. Step 2: Bend your wrists toward the target and keep your left wrist flat. Step 1: Put 80% of your weight on the left side of your body. Now all you need to do is to follow the steps below for the strike. After successfully following all the steps at address, backswing, and downswing, you have paved a way to make a good impact position. For this very reason, you need to be more careful during the impact stage. Impact: make solid contact with the ballįinally, we are at the part of the swing where the club makes contact with the golf ball. Step 5: Now, hold out your hands and arms into impact.Ĥ. Moving any other part of the body may manipulate the direction of the shot. Step 4: Try to make the least movement with the other parts of your body, especially your head. Ensure that your trail elbow is under the lead elbow and close to your body. Step 3: Move your torso and arms naturally. Here the starting point should be the ground. It is to make the shots more consistent at impact. Step 2: Turn toward the target with your hips, knees, and chest, keeping the lead shoulder down. So, when you start to take the downswing, make sure to start working with the foot. Many golfers fall for it thinking that it will help them make a powerful shot. In fact, starting with an aggressive hand or arm movement would instead make your sequence go wrong. You may think that your downswing starts with your big muscles. Step 1: Shift your weight on your left foot or front foot. Instead, keep your head calm and follow the downswing sequence one by one for a successful shot. So the first and foremost thing to remember while going for the downswing stage is never to rush it. It influences the accuracy of the shot too.īut that doesn’t mean you need to go aggressive and rush toward the downswing. That will help you gain a better distance. Therefore, you need a powerful downswing to achieve an increased swing speed at impact. When your golf club is at the top of the backswing, the speed drops to 0 mph. The movement occurs right after the top of the backswing and before the impact stage with the golf ball. ![]() To put in simple words, downswing means swinging down, just like the name. Correct golf ball position at the address Go step-by-step while addressing the ball. And be more confident about it.Ī wrong address can ruin the whole swing sequence in the very beginning. We just want you to recheck your address position whether it’s the suitable one for your swing sequence or not. Nor do we mean that you don’t know how to address the ball. Address: set up a precise address positionĭid you know golfers’ inside joke where one says “address the ball” and the other says “Hi ball”? We definitely know that you are not the latter one. Let’s get down to that without any further delay.ġ. ![]() But for now, we are going to keep things simple by dividing the swing sequence into the main 5 sections. Which one should you follow? True that it is different for everyone. Even the PGA tour professionals with the same handicap have slightly different swing sequences. You must be thinking different people follow different sequences. You need to know the movement of very milliseconds to get it done amazingly. There are steps to follow in these 5 sections too. If we elaborate, it goes into 5 main things- address, backswing, downswing, impact, follow through. In short, the sequence goes leg-torso-arms-hands-golf club. Do you need to change your golf swing sequence based on the club you are hitting with?.Backswing: correct the 3 main parts of the backswing Address: set up a precise address position What is the proper golf swing sequence?. ![]() The only reason Calypso seems to have constant sales is because pure amount of people here and a lot of gambling crafters compared to other planets. ![]() About only time non calypso planets get lots of loot sells is when they add new bp's for the big crafters to got there and try to gather them all up as fast as they can, which causes them to go on a buying spree of mats. I believe weapons got so eco and to many items drop in loot to make crafting going on a regular basis, so most mats are not worth buying constantly. Just no demand for most of the loot on Arkadia, because no big demand for alot of crafting because all the big crafters ground out all the unique bp's so no need to craft non-stop. I occasionally go to Arkadia to hunt and try to sell there but eventually 90% or more of my looted stuff finds it's way back to Calypso to get sold because I get tired of paying AH fee's or standing for days shouting to not sell anything. I think it is completely due to player base being larger on Calypso so there are more people willing to bite on markups where you rely on on a few people on lower populated planets to pick stuff up for any markups. Picked Calypso, so much easier to cycle your loots in AH in a day or two to get back out hunting, Arkadia takes week or two for sales to get picked up and usually at much lower MU for most stuff, in my personal experience. Spend a couple of days there and you might be impressed, the website "Cyrene Secrets" is also excellent with an interactive map that gives you all the info you need. It has now been all flattened out and the mobs are concentrated in small pockets and none are mixed spawns. ![]() The old Cyrene was a pain to hunt on because of all the peaks and troughs in the landscape. On a further note even though you didn't mention Cyrene, I am very impressed with it since the terrain changed. In conclusion I really don't think what planet you are on makes much difference but I have noticed that if you pick a particular mob and grind it for a while and by a while I mean at least 3 hours a day for a couple of weeks the peds seem to last longer. I presume I am in a very bad loot swing which seems to be an annual occurrence for me at this time of the year. However last weekend after a terrible 2 weeks of loot on Caly I decided to take a tour and spent a day on Cyrene and 2 days on Ark, the result was the loot was just as appalling as it had been on Caly so I cam back to Caly where I continue to have very bad returns. I like a lot of the Mobs on Ark and up until last week I would have said that peds seem to last longer on Ark. I grind Tiarak a lot on Arkadia for the hides which I use rather than sell. Which is also to say that the ending is infuriating, with a cliffhanger that makes sense as a stopping point to cut the story in half while spinning the plot in an unexpected direction that will make it an agonising wait until Act 2 arrives.Jennifer Hale is the voice actor for Mom in Broken Age Without spoiling anything, it should also be said that the ending to Broken Age's first act is perfect. Life is the operative word there, with every detail and animation bringing the world Double Fine imagined into vibrant focus. The visual style is also a constant delight, looking like watercolour painted concept art come to life. It's possible to ask the right question right away to get straight to the puzzles, but each character has so much else to say, it's immensely rewarding to dive into the dialog trees just to see what someone will say next. Or if it has, he thankfully surrounded himself with an immensely talented team at Double Fine to compensate. Shafer's sabbatical from adventure games has not dulled his wit. ![]() The puzzles are all in service of the story though, and more specifically, in service of a script that is written and performed fantastically. If you do get stumped on a puzzle though, Broken Age lets you switch characters at any time to make progress in the other's story and return to the puzzle that stumped you with a fresh set of eyes. There is an exception from one particularly tricky puzzle towards the end requiring an item that is easy to overlook, but for the most part puzzles are used more as tools to push the story forward rather than roadblocks requiring mental gymnastics. You will know a rope needs to be cut because Shay or Vella will say something to the effect of "I really wish I could cut this rope" when you click on it. However, the streamlining is also because Broken Age is also quite eager to offer the player hints amid the puzzles. If a rope needs to be cut, you simply need to find a knife rather than finding a rock to break a window to use a shard of glass to cut the rope. Partially this is because there are fewer items to contend with, and the puzzle solutions are more logical. The puzzles are fairly straightforward compared to the LucasArts adventure games that Tim Schafer is famous for. Pixel hunting to find the right object to interact with is practically non-existent thanks to a cursor that changes shape when over an item of interest, and using an item is as simple as dragging it from your inventory to the character or object you want to use it with. To that end, the characterisations for both Vella and Shay are fantastic as they rebel against the submission and eternal coddling of their respective lives in ways that only the naiveté and hopefulness of youth could allow them.Īnd through those acts of rebellion, a far grander story is set in motion.Ĭontrolling Vella and Shay through their respective stories is conducted through a streamlined vision of classic point-and-click adventure games. Part of coming of age means carving out an identity for yourself, and both Vella and Shay find themselves in societies where an identity has already been thrust upon them. ![]() While Vella and Shay's settings and situations are strikingly different, they are also similar in that both deal with a young person coming of age. So much attention has been paid to seemingly inconsequential details that make all the difference, with an abundance of witty dialog that simply exists to entertain. Meanwhile, players also get to control Vella, a young woman selected by her village to be a sacrifice for the monster Mog Chothma in order to appease the beast and save the village from destruction. Or perhaps it would be more appropriate to call it Broken Age's universe as Shay, the male lead, is found drifting through the cosmos in a space ship nursery inhabited only by himself and an enthusiastically maternal artificial intelligence. The story is split between two protagonists to introduce players to Broken Age's world. Now that Broken Age Act 1 is upon us, fans will be happy to know that Shafer's sabbatical from adventure games has not dulled his wit.
